GRAND JUNCTION — As part of its educational presentation series for seniors and families, The Lodge at Grand Junction will host a free presentation, “Understanding Medicare and New Policies,” on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 9 a.m. John Ahern, a volunteer representative for the State Health Insurance Assistance Program, will deliver the presentation and answer attendees’ questions. The event is free and open to the public, but an RSVP is requested at 970-716-6162.
Medicare is the federal health insurance program for people 65 and older, certain young people with disabilities, or those with specific health conditions. Ahren will highlight Medicare changes, costs and guidelines for seniors.
